New Life, NEW S H O E S

Life = Chocolates?? Nay, I say strawberry n cream w scones! It's the heart afraid of breaking that never learns to dance It's the dream afraid of walking that never takes the chance It's the one who won't be taken who cannot seem to give And the soul afraid of dying that never learns to live

Goal setting

Badly needed to set my goals for 2006. Went for a short vacation for reflection. However, I have not set my goals fully yet. Been thinking about my goals for this year and my desires. What's yours?? There are many ideas but I need to set the right goals. What's urgent, important or low priority. Sounds like my daily in-tray. At the end, I reckon that I should set my goals according to what I desire to do most for this year, whether it seems unbelievable, sounds impossible or full of difficulties. At times, we analysed too much, think too much and was held back by certain circumstances that we missed the chance. That chance could be once in a lifetime and it will not appear again till many years later. However, most times, we let people and situation dictates us. Worth it? Let go and Let God - My revelation for today. May not sound relevant to you but this inspires and directs my heart for this season. I choose to believe. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. EnW

Winter Shoes

Hi, I'm back for once but may not be blogging for a long long time. In fact, I have another idea on blogging style for 2006. Shall update further.
Took a break from the boring office since 30 Dec 05 to the "Oriental Paris" in the beginning of the year and now back.
Didn't take any photos as this is my 4th trip to Shanghai. Caught a glimpse of snowflakes as winter was colder this year. Snowflakes looked somewhat like dust particles when I saw it while in a cab or "chu zhu che". Then I realised......... with happiness and fully enjoying their presence for the entire afternoon looking through the window. Comes in different shapes & patterns too!
What's best when it's freezing cold??
"Kun Xue Qiu"!
My favourite! Never fails to perk me up. Having this in minus 3 wakes me up!
Comments: Better than local mochi.
Breakfast or Brunch?
"Zhar pai gu nian gao" with hot/fresh soya bean.
Sure warms you up and provides sufficient energy
to fight the cold at the same time.
Well, my intentions for this trip was to recharge, reflect on 2005 and in the process obtain spiritual inspiration for 2006. A retreat I would say and since my passport has indicated 4 entry chops for this place, I kinda felt very much at home here. Well, people here may not be the most pleasant people on earth but you do find some good spirited and kind hearted ones among the mass. If you happened to visit this place and have some time to spare, do make time for some observation, you will be amused by their culture, communication style and way of life. Somewhat "Ke ai and Ke qi".
In closing, why this title? Bought another pair of boots with rabbit fur and this will be my signature shoe for the season. When coupled with a pink fur coat (bought here as well), Purr fect and that's another story.
Till then.
